7 weeks to Windows 7
Here it comes, Microsoft’s new operating system will be with us in 7 weeks time, hasn’t it gone quick! Microsoft’s latest flagship operating system “Windows 7″ claims to have stripped all the useless code out of it and remove all unnecessary things such as movie maker, dream scene…Internet Explorer? yes Internet Explorer is not allowed to be included with the next update due to European laws against cornering the market, instead they will be warning you when you install and IE will come as an optional extra in Add/Remove programs.
I personally upgraded to Windows 7 through a college scheme that allows you to install Windows 7 Professional for educational purposes and I must say it is nice, I found that as soon as I upgraded my computer almost doubled in it’s response time and it is so much easier to use.
Windows 7′s official launch date for retail users is October 22, 2009 which is surprisingly a month after Apple launches their new flagship operating system “OSX Snow Leopard” which had it’s date brought forward a month, strange since this was done after Microsoft announced they would launch in October.
In conclusion; let’s hope that Microsoft give us something solid that they can be proud of, after all Bill Gates said shortly after Vista’s launch that his favorite operating system was going to be windows 7.
